Addie Foote - MATS Scholar and AI Safety Researcher

Addie Foote

About Me

Hi! I'm Addie, an AI safety researcher and MATS extension scholar focused on making artificial intelligence systems more robust and controllable.

I'm currently working on robust unlearning research, investigating how machine learning models can reliably forget specific information. I'm also developing solutions for user control in recommender systems, empowering people to have more agency over algorithmic recommendations.

I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Computer Science through the Turing Scholars Honors program in Fall 2024.

When I'm not researching AI safety, I enjoy running, cooking new recipes, and hiking.
